Château Peyredon-Lagravette

Château Peyredon Lagravette was acquired in the 2009’s by Stéphane and Laurence Dupuch. It is located 3km (about 2 miles) east of Listrac, in the village of Médrac. The estate lies partially in the Listrac appellation area and partly in Moulis. The property lies on the Grand Poujeaux mound, reputed for its geological qualities due to Günzian gravel, which provides deep well-drained soil enabling the grapes to ripen fully.

Château Peyredon Lagravette benefits from an outstanding terroir positioned in the middle of prestigious neighbours such as Château Poujeaux, Château Chasse Spleen and Château Maucaillou.

60% of the vines are Merlot and 40% are Cabernet Sauvignon, planted at a density of 9,100 vines per hectare. The vineyard totals 5 hectares (12 acres).

The vathouse designed along Medoc lines, was refurbished in 2005. It has the equipment and layout to enable wine to be made with modern techniques, while applying traditional know-how.

At Château Peyredon Lagravette, our golden rule is to respect our traditions: we cultivate our vines using no weed killers and harvest by hand. We use Bordeaux mixture to combat any disease.

By using modern equipment to apply time-honoured techniques, we have everything scrupulously under control and our vines are always in the best possible condition.

Our barrel cellar still has its old world charm. We house 85 barrels in it. All are made of French oak, made by different coopers using a variety of toast styles. In these, we age Château Peyredon Lagravette wines under the close supervision of our consultant oenologist, Mr Éric BOISSENOT.

« Respect the past,
build the future and invite others to share in the inspiration of our passion »

    Château Peyredon Lagravette

    Haut-Médoc Red AOC

Lovely intense purplish ruby colour with dark tints. It has an amazingly complex nose with aromas of black fruit that are dominated by blackberry and raspberry. It has a pleasant grilled flavour, is very round and rich, and is remarkably balanced overall with elegant, mellow tannin. It has an equally appealing, long finish.

    Château Peyredon Lagravette

    Bordeaux White AOC

Lovely clear robe. Elegant nose with very subtle, mellow aromas. Hints of citrus and exotic fruit on the palate, which is very fresh and multi-layered. The finish is just as attractive and very rich. Serve between 14 and 16°C (57 to 61°F) as an aperitif or to accompany shellfish or grilled fish.
